Volume 1, Number 2

We call this our "Why?" edition.  Or, perhaps, "Why not?"  Read on and you'll see why.

Have you ever been in trouble -- in deep despair -- and cried out in the darkness, "Why Me, Lord?"    Be assured.  You are not alone.  Just because you are a Christian, a child of God; just because you walk closely with him -- does not mean you will never feel that God has left you all alone.  In fact, that's one of the things God does.  Why?  Read on!

Home schooling.  Is it a fad?  A necessity?  A ministry?  Amy Roberts contributes from her years as a home- schooling mom in To Do It - Or Not To Do It? That Is The Question!  Hopefully, this will leave you wanting to know even more.  Is home schooling for everyone?  Should all Christians be trying it?

Money!  Everyone talks about it.  There are so many myths about money.  So many proverbs.  "A fool and his money are soon parted."  "Them that has, gets!"  It goes on and on.  But just what are the responsibilities Christians have with money?  Focus On Finances by first time contributor Dean Scott is the first of what we hope to become a series on our financial stewardship.

"The Really Good Samaritan" is only my title for this provocative object lesson in comic strip form.  Bob West is a seasoned cartoonist and bible student.  For more than 30 years, he has faithfully exercised his gift through the fictional character, Theophilus.  Read this and you'll be wanting more.  Visit him at Theophilus.

Are you a teenager?  A parent of a teenager?  A grandparent of a teenager?  Anyone who lovers a teenager?  Vickie Touchton is a teen who has felt deep things.  Her poem should give all some insight and understanding of the depth of today's future generation in Why Me?

People are stranger than anyone.  Why Is It that we do some of the things we do?  Especially, when what we do defies all the logic we claim to have?  Bill Shumaker takes a look and offers a pundit's view.
